Content Policy and the Coronavirus
In an effort to avoid misinformation on health and travel advisories related to COVID-19, we are providing the following guidance under Hubsplit’s Content Policy to help protect our community and provide peace of mind.
By posting content on Hubsplit, you agree to abide by Hubsplit’s Content Policy and this guidance.
Listing pages, message threads, reviews, and other content
At Hubsplit, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our community. In light of the ongoing pandemic, we have established specific guidelines related to COVID-19.
1. House Rules on Vaccination and Testing:
- Hosts possess the autonomy to define their house rules. This includes indicating if they mandate guests to be either vaccinated against or recently tested for COVID-19. However, such stipulations should not contravene any local laws or regulations.
2. Content Restrictions: On the Hubsplit platform, hosts and guests are prohibited from posting or disseminating content that:
- Urges disregard for prevailing health or travel advisories, such as discouraging vaccination against COVID-19 or declining guests due to their vaccinated status.
- Advocates for gatherings in defiance of health guidelines.
- Assures listings as untouched by or safe from COVID-19.
- Provides health-related data specific to COVID-19 or directs users to resources outside of Hubsplit’s officially endorsed Coronavirus updates in the Resource Center.
- Suggests activities associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Tempts users with COVID-19-related incentives, like discounts, limited-resource stockpiles, or emphasis on quarantine-compatible listing features.
- Uses terms like COVID-19, coronavirus, pandemic, or quarantine in the titles of listings.
3. Policy Enforcement: We take any deviation from this policy seriously. Hubsplit will conduct thorough investigations upon receiving reports of potential breaches. We hold the unilateral right to delete any content or segment thereof that infringes upon our Content Policy, Terms of Service, Community Standards, or Review Policy.
Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in the suspension or removal of listings or accounts under Hubsplit’s Terms of Service.
