Hubsplit Community Safety Guidelines

At Hubsplit, we prioritize the safety of our community members above all else. The bond of trust between Hosts and guests is the foundation of our platform. In this regard, we have established clear guidelines to govern the behavior of all our users to ensure a harmonious and secure experience for everyone involved.

Activities We Allow:

  1. Self-Defense: If you ever find yourself in a situation where you’re physically threatened or attacked during a stay or Experience, you are permitted to use proportionate force in self-defense until the threat is neutralized.
  2. Permitted Weapons: Guests may bring legally-owned weapons, barring explosive or incendiary devices and assault weapons, as long as they are safely secured and disclosed to the Host prior to arrival. Hosts can also keep legally-owned weapons in their accommodations provided they are safely stored. If weapons are in plain sight or discoverable by guests, they must be disclosed. Activities We Don’t Allow:

  1. Threats or Abuse: Acts of threats, violence, or abuse towards any individual, including partners, children, animals, and those who are ill or disabled, are strictly prohibited.
  2. Sexual Misconduct: All forms of sexual assault and misconduct are prohibited on our platform. This includes any unwanted or unsolicited advances, flirtations, or personal discussions of a sexual nature.
  3. Dangerous or Illegal Animals: Animals that are illegal as per the regulations of the listing or Experience location are strictly forbidden. Animals that could pose a risk during a stay should be properly disclosed and contained. Learn more about our dangerous animal regulations.
  4. Banned Weapons: Explosive devices, incendiary devices, or assault weapons are strictly prohibited, irrespective of the local laws in your area.
  5. Unsecured/Undisclosed Weapons: All legally owned weapons should be properly disclosed and secured at all times.
