What are the Owner requirements?

General Guidelines:

  1. Respectful Communication: Always maintain a respectful and professional tone when communicating with renters. This promotes trust and a positive user experience for all parties involved.
  2. Hub Split Staff: Extend the same courtesy and professionalism to Hub Split staff members. Remember, they are here to assist and ensure a smooth platform experience for everyone.

Renting Guidelines:

  1. Item Description: Ensure that the item listed is exactly as described on your listing page. This includes its functionality, condition, and any additional components. Any discrepancies may lead to disputes and negative reviews.
  2. Owner Guarantee Criteria: Be familiar with and adhere to the criteria set out in the Owner Guarantee. This helps in case of disputes and ensures that you’re covered by Hub Split’s protection.
  3. Photo and Video Documentation: Always take clear, timestamped photos and videos showcasing your item’s functionality and condition both before and after each rental. This serves as crucial evidence in case of disputes.
  4. Communication on Collection/Return: Proactively confirm collection and return details with the renter. This includes the agreed-upon addresses, dates, and times. This minimizes misunderstandings and ensures a smooth rental process.

Consequences of Non-Compliance:

Failure to comply with the above guidelines may have consequences, including but not limited to:

  • Formal Warning: A written reminder detailing the area(s) of concern and expected corrective action.
  • Temporary Suspension: Depending on the severity or frequency of the issues, your account might be temporarily suspended, barring you from listing or renting items.
  • Permanent Removal: In extreme cases or repeated violations, Hub Split reserves the right to permanently remove your account from the platform.

Always remember, by ensuring a smooth and professional transaction, both the owner and renter can enjoy the benefits of Hub Split and contribute to a positive community experience.
